Brandi Lavoie
Director of Foster Youth Futures
Brandi Lavoie serves as the Director of Foster Youth Futures. She has worked at the U in different student facing roles since 2016. She has found her true passion is all things students—she loves working with them, learning from them, and connecting them with the U’s incredible resources and staff on campus. Brandi has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Southern Utah University, which she received in 2016. She is originally from Salem, Massachusetts, and holds a lot of pride in supporting all Boston sports teams, specifically the New England Patriots because football is her favorite sport to watch! Brandi loves to travel, workout, and spend time with her family and two dogs and explore the beautiful state of Utah.

Jerry Stott
Program Coordinator, First Star Academy
Jerry graduated from Northwest Wyoming Community College and earned a BA in Political Science and Master of Public Administration from the University of Wyoming. He began working with First Star in 2019, addressing student needs as education specialist and youth coach through summer academies. As well as working as the Program Coordinator for First Star, Jerry is currently a doctoral candidate studying community building and public policy at the University of Utah and a research fellow for the University of Wyoming’s Social Justice Research Center. He is passionate about music, movies, the environment, and trying to make his English Bulldog Carmina an Instagram influencer
